Apple Unveils 20-inch iMac, Dual Power Mac

Apple has announced a new revision of its iMac consumer desktop system, as well as a new dual Power Mac.

The updated iMac features a whopping 20-inch flat-panel LCD display with a resolution of 1680x1050. It contains a 1.25G Hz PowerPC G4 processor and NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 graphics chip.

The 20-inch iMac is available now for $2,199 USD. The older 17-inch iMac sells for $1,799 USD and the 15-inch iMac, with a 1.0 GHz processor, runs $1,299 USD.

Apple issued a new Power Mac G5, replacing the single 1.8 GHz system with dual 1.8 GHz G5 processors. The new Power Mac, with 512MB of RAM, a 160GB serial ATA hard drive and NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra graphics chip is available for $2,499 USD.

Apple also lowered the price of its entry-level single 1.6 GHz Power Mac G5 to $1,799 USD.
