Microsoft continues to update its latest gaming console on a regular basis, though the company also keeps the Xbox 360 alive as well. Now a new update rolls out to the Xbox One, bringing all sorts of features that fans have been waiting for since the box debuted in late 2013. In fact, Xbox Live's Larry Hryb, AKA Major Nelson, states "This month’s system update on Xbox One brings you some of the most-requested features by our fans".

First up is screenshots, which should make many gamers happy. Simply double-click the Xbox button on the controller to snap a shot, then press Y to save it. Or, even better, you can say "Xbox take a screenshot" and handle both tasks at once.

Hryb points out another screenshot feature -- "You can manage your screenshots in addition to your game clips in the Upload app. To set a screenshot as your background, go to Upload, open the screenshot full screen, press the Menu button, and select Set as background. You can also use Upload to share screenshots to your activity feed, attach them to messages, add screenshots to your showcase, share to Twitter, and post to OneDrive".

There's also a Party Chat upgrade, allowing customers to see their microphone status. These are represented by icons showing Kinect and headphones representing voice and audio.

A slew of other features are included, such as suggested friends, a setting for tile transparency, reporting spam, and two things for our friends downunder -- live TV with OneGuide and a digital TV tuner. The latter is slated for a March 25th release.

Microsoft promises much more is on the way, but this should satisfy many customers for a little while.
