IObit releases Advanced SystemCare 9

IObit has unveiled a new edition of its all-in-one PC maintenance suite, Advanced SystemCare 9.

A new "Speed Up" section includes modules to control Windows startup programs, close resource-hungry apps or processes, remove unwanted browser add-ons and optimize Windows and application settings.

The Protect module’s new "DNS Protect" feature prevents malware from modifying your DNS settings.

There’s full support for Windows 10, and that doesn’t just mean it runs on the OS: there’s new support for cleaning Edge, Modern apps and other areas of Windows 10, while a specialist "Win 10 Reinforce" feature provides specialist system protection.

Elsewhere, a smarter Default Programs module can set your default browser and other applications with a click.

An expanded database should bring more reliable and accurate spyware detection and removal.

It’s all packaged in a redesigned interface, with improved support for high resolution screens, and a customizable "My Favorite Tools" section for faster access to the best modules.

Advanced SystemCare 9’s free build has all the core features, but upgrading to the Pro version ($19.99 for a 1 year, 3 PC license) gets you many extras: an internet connection optimizer, improved security, browser anti-tracking, Registry cleaning, real-time system optimization, automatic program updates, and more.

What hasn’t changed are the system requirements, so good news for anyone on an old PC: Advanced SystemCare 9 still runs on anything from Windows XP up.
