Ultimate Ears unveils colorful UE ROLL 2 Bluetooth speaker -- ready for summer fun!
Bluetooth speakers are a dime a dozen nowadays. Quite frankly, there are so many on the market, that it is almost impossible to impress me with one. With that said, last year, Ultimate Ears did exactly that with the UE ROLL. That speaker was diminutive, durable, and most importantly, sounded insanely good.
Today, Ultimate Ears announces the sequel to its popular offering, the UE ROLL 2. Amazingly, the speaker retains the same $99 price as its predecessor, while also improving on it. The still-round speaker looks to be another winner.
"Whether at the beach or backpacking, UE ROLL 2 brings even more to the party, with 15 percent more sound and an increased wireless range of 100-feet, all while keeping the sleek, disc shape design of the original UE ROLL. Weighing in at just over half a pound, the UE ROLL 2 packs in more sound without adding extra size or bulk", says Ultimate Ears.
The Logitech-owned company further says, "UE ROLL 2 is meant to go with you on your next adventure. Equipped with a bungee cord loop, this already small and light speaker is portable and versatile. You can attach it to your backpack, belt loop or bike, so you can take it anywhere and never be without music. It's waterproof (IPX7 certified), drop-proof and built to withstand a beat up, all while delivering epic sound in the palm of your hand".
If you want to buy the Ultimate Ears UE Roll 2, I have great news for you -- it is available starting today. You can pick between the following six colors -- Atmosphere, Habanero, Reef, Sugarplum, Tropical Anime, and Volcano. The Reef color is only available in the Americas, however.
The original UE Roll had a special "floatie" accessory that allowed it to float in the pool -- seen above. Essentially, it is a mini inflatable pillow on which you lay the speaker. While that was offered as a separate purchase -- or free with certain promotions -- it is now included in every UE ROLL 2 box at no additional cost. Awesome!
