RealPlayer Users Get Net2Phone Access

RealNetwork [NASDAQ:RNWK] users
can now download the latest version of RealPlayer with Net2Phone
[NASDAQ:NTO] software for access to penny-per-minute long
distance domestic phone calls on their computers, the companies
announced today.

"It's a really cool deal because the people that use RealPlayer are
the typical users of Net2Phone," Sarah Hofstetter of Net2Phone
told Newsbytes. "You need a multi-media computer with microphone
and speakers for Net2Phone, which is exactly what you need for
RealPlayer."

Net2Phone is downloadable from the Real.com site now with the
free version of RealPlayer and will be available with RealPlayer's
Plus and Pro packages within a few weeks, Hofstetter said. New
users must "opt in" to Net2Phone by clicking a checkbox on the
sign-up form. Net2Phone will send new subscribers a complimentary
headset and give 100 free minutes, Hofstetter said. After the 100
minutes are used up, calls within the US cost one cent per minute.
International rates start at 9 cents per minute.

"This agreement not only gives our users another unique way to
experience media on the Internet," said Real Networks Inc. Chief
Operating Officer Tom Frank, "it further demonstrates the highly
strategic value of our more than 95 million RealPlayer users and
the Real.com Network of Web sites to RealNetworks partners."

A Net2Phone button will appear on the personal toolbar of the
new version of Netscape due out early next month, Net2Phone
recently announced.

RealNetworks, claiming more than 95 million registered RealPlayer
users, says it serves 85 percent of all streaming media Web
pages on the Internet.
