"Flash will continue to make it exceptionally well suited for gaming" - And it just won't die. To be honest, I didn't mind it until it popped up almost daily with an update. But it is time to move on - I count this a win for Steve Jobs.

Safari is garbage. Every year at hackfest Safari is the first to fall. Apple should be thanking Google for finding the bugs in Safari instead of some other group. I repeat.. Safari is the worst browser in history... the buggiest and the least secure... if you want a good browser get the one that passes hackfest with flying colors year after year... and that's Chrome... Safari is junk...

Google is a target these days. They bring it on themselves for the most part. How many time in the last 3 years has Google apologized for privacy violations? The safari mess being the latest....all the way back to sniffing data off your Wifi networks as their Mapping trucks drive by you house. Schmidt lives in DC just to fight off the government inquiries and grease wheels.

I read that Mountain Lions new system wide sharing feature does not support YouTube but does support Vimeo. A big FU from Apple to Google.

Google Voice's UI is entirely Google's. Hell, it's their gmail interface...

Google kept picasa's logo (adding google's colors) and basic layout for the first release. Now, about the only similarity is that google-colored logo.

You may not be hating, but you aren't being entirely truthful either. Not sure if it's intentional or not at this point...

this is wrong on so many levels i wont go into detail...

but i will say that just because a feature is touted as the next best thing, if it is unreliable it might as well not even exist...

think of it as a car that breaks down routinely.... wouldnt you just rather take the bus everyday, consistently knowing it will be there instead of hoping your car will work 6 out of 10 times riding to work nad having to scramble to make last minute plans?

wouldn't you rather wait for a car that is near 100% reliable?

if you are a good mechanic you could drive a hot rod to work everyday and fix it just as often.... if you are a geek you could customize your phone a million times over..

but the average driver is not a mechanic, not a geek, and just want something that just works..... EVERYTIME!!!

Did you already forget the GAP logo fiasco?...

That was very recent.

The GAP listened to its customers, quickly reverted back, and apologized after its mishap.

Here we have Mr Joe just saying MS should and could do the same... But they prob wont. I think the logo is ugly, and it made me think of a foreign country, and not an American super-brand.

Romath, it's not "fraud" you simply have to insert the serial code! Advanced SystemCare 5 works in the free mode until you enter the provided serial code to turn it in to PRO.

Simple. That's how software works. You insert a serial code. Your years of programming missed that point.

It's called marketing, people. Good companies do it, and so do not so good companies.

But, before you blow a kidney, you have to ask yourself, was anything that was stated in the ad incorrect or overblown?

Oh, and companies aren't rewarded necessarily for inventing stuff. (Innovation invention.) All that counts is bringing it to market successfully, and if that involves inventing, refining, augmenting, acquiring or partnering, then that's what they do. All that counts in my book is that the process be ethical.

The main way Apple won was by forcing an alternative platform for app delivery (i.e. Apple did not get to take a 30% cut of app sales) off the iToys.

IMO, Flash was a red herring for Apple (and Microsoft). The only one I think really wants to see HTML5 as the dominant app delivery platform is Google. And that's likely because their lion's share of revenue comes from web advertising.

Which is great and all, but as long as there's still Flash with video, users are going to run into sites from mobile devices that they can't play. I've loved being able to play whatever I want on my Android devices. Now that I'm starting to use Chrome on my Galaxy Nexus as my default browser, I'm already running into the same issues iOS users have had to deal with..."We're sorry, we are unable to play this content."

It's a crappy situation really - if Flash is going to live, I wish they would continue to support Flash on mobile. Either kill it completely, or support it everywhere.

You know what is worse? When i signed back in 2002 to XBOX live, I got my Windows Live ID. Microsoft didn't say at the time that my account would be bound forever to the country I was living in. Now I got my Windows Phone and I have the same issue with Windows Phone Marketplace.

@twitter-7688992:disqus

...really?

Trending data......equals selling *your* personal information to advertisers.

Well, man...I gotta say:

I never had you pegged as blinded by Faith. Please don't start now.

Stop backpedaling. It doesn't become you. This isn't a test. You are not being graded. It's OK to be wrong.

FYI: Aggregate data isn't *yours*...you never owned it and it has no ties to your person. It is like claiming the DOT steals your data by laying the counter-lines across roadways to gauge the amount traffic...don't be ridiculous.

The inability of the backend Zune infrastructure to accommodate people moving countries is horrendous, and a long-standing issue. I only hope that with the introduction of Windows 8 (which will see a greater role for the Windows Live ID) Microsoft will have the sense to dump the Zune infrastructure in favout of something more flexible.
