Pazera Free Audio Extractor 2.0 now available

Pazera Free Audio Extractor is an excellent tool for saving video soundtracks as audio files which was just upgraded to version 2.0 with a host of welcome additions and improvements.

The previous edition supported all the main video and audio formats, but 2.0 adds even more. The new formats are M4B, WebM, OGV, OGA, DTS, DTS-HD, EAC3, AIFF, GSM, MP1, QCP (qcelp), RA, TrueHD, VQF, MP4V, MKA, M2TS, MTS, WTV, F4V, F4P, F4A, F4B, VIDEO, M4R and AVS files, while your audio tracks can be saved as MP3, AAC, WMA, OGG, AC3, FLAC, WAV, and -- new this time -- M4A.

The inclusion of MediaInfo.dll means the program can now provide detailed information on your source files: format, bitrate, resolution, aspect ratio, frame rate, scan type, pixel format and more.

The interface has been redesigned for improved ease of use. It still doesn’t look so great, in our opinion, at least initially, but if you agree then new "visual styles" (alternative color schemes) are on hand to help. Click File then Options, try the styles on offer and pick one you like.

All this is now available in multiple languages, including Czech, English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Serbian, Spanish and Turkish.

The program’s bundled copy of FFmpeg has been updated to the latest version. And there are many other fixes and enhancements, including better detection of data streams in audio and video files.

One thing hasn’t changed, fortunately: Pazera Free Audio Extractor 2.0 remains entirely free, with no adware or catches of any kind. If you ever need to save video soundtracks as audio files then it’s the ideal choice.
