Sony announces new $249 'Call of Duty' and 'Uncharted' PlayStation 4 console bundles

As the news of the world gets crazier and crazier, people are increasingly needing distractions to cope. While TV, movies, and music are obvious choices, video games should not be forgotten. These games allow the player to escape into an alternate reality for a while, and can be more immersive than other media.

If you do not own a game console, you really can't go wrong with the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One -- both are powerful and have respectable game libraries. Today, however, Sony makes its offering very attractive. The company announces three new console bundles for a mere $249.

"I'm happy to share that from February 12 through February 25, you can pick up the new, slimmer PS4 in either the Uncharted 4 PlayStation 4 bundle, or the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare PS4 bundle for $249.99. Additionally, if you order the exclusive Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare PS4 bundle in Glacier White through Walmart.com, you'll also receive this price promotion for $249," says John Koller, Vice President, PlayStation Brand Marketing.

Koller shares the details of the three bundles below.

• The Uncharted 4 PS4 bundle includes the slimmer PS4 model with a 500GB HDD, a DualShock 4 wireless controller, and the critically acclaimed Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
• The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare PS4 bundle comes with the slimmer 500GB PS4 and a DualShock 4 wireless controller, along with the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Blu-ray disc, and a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered download voucher.
• The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare PS4 bundle in Glacier White comes with the slimmer Glacier White 500GB HDD PS4 and matching Glacier White DualShock 4 wireless controller, along with the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Blu-ray disc and a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered download voucher. The promotional price for this bundle is available exclusively at Walmart.com.

Here's the thing, folks. The value really depends on whether or not you like the included games. In other words, if you do not like Call of Duty or Uncharted, you should probably target a different bundle. If you do like these games, however, and you do not yet have a PS4, this is a really great deal.
