Popular Windows development UI library goes open source
User interface controls are important to creating applications for use across different devices as they need to retain the native look and feel of the OS.
To make life easier for .NET developers development company Progress is making its Telerik UI for Universal Windows Platform (UWP) open source. Telerik UI offers developers a set of native UI controls for building Windows apps.
As well as reducing coding and time to market, it enables developers to remove the repetitive, tactical elements of development to focus on solving business challenges. By making Progress Telerik UI for UWP open source and part of the .NET Foundation, .NET developers can not only expand upon the capabilities already available, but can also access and contribute to more than 20 UI controls to create Windows apps that share a single codebase and run on a multitude of Microsoft devices.
