Best Windows 10 apps this week

Two-hundred-and-twenty-three in a series. Welcome to this week's overview of the best apps, games and extensions released for Windows 10 on the Windows Store in the past seven days.

This week saw only a handful releases. It was a rather slow week all in all when it comes to app and game releases.

As always, if I missed an app or game that has been released this week that you believe is particularly good, let me know in the comments below or notify me via email instead.

Discounts this week

The following list is a selection of the best deals. Make sure you check out the Store for all offers.

Some apps are discounted for more than one week. Only new apps and games are listed below. Check out the previous post in the series for past offers that may still be valid.

Bluetooth LE Explorer by Microsoft allows you to discover and interact with nearby Bluetooth LE devices.

It enables you to read their service and characteristics, and write to them.

The app can be used in server mode as well, to advertise as a battery server, or a Microsoft test service server.

Mad Gardener is a strategy game in which you defend a choke point against onrushing hordes of zombies.

You aim and shoot with a shotgun, and use special attacks such as dynamite to defeat the hordes.

The game features the usual assortment of levels, bosses, and upgrades.

Note Fighter

Note Fighter is a music app/game in which you play along music (mostly classical) using the mouse or touch-based input.

The app supports free play and practice modes as well as different difficulty levels.

The free version ships with three songs for you to try, and more if you make a purchase.

Note Fighter works well on touch devices, but not so well with a mouse.
