TiVoCast adds on-demand music videos

Adding to its TiVoCast repertoire, the on-demand video service provider announced immediate availability of its new Music Choice Network.

When the broadband Series2 DVR was rolled out two years ago, TiVo included support for the Live365 internet radio community, and this year added even more music with
support for Rhapsody. Now, Series2 and Series3 users will have on-demand access to the video aspect of the music industry, just short of one year following Music Choice and TiVo's partnership announcement.

TiVoCast offers highly specialized -- some might even say superfluous -- content. Channels available include QuiltersTV, Ultra Kawaii -- a network dedicated to showcasing only cute pets -- and Pulp Secret, the comic book network.

Music Choice for TiVoCast offers several thousand music videos, as well as original programming, such as MC Exclusive, which has interviews and live performance of popular artists in a number of genres.

This new channel is especially of note to aspiring musicians, because Music Choice continues to have an open submission policy. Unsigned artists who have video or audio material that Music Choice deems playable could see themselves on TiVo. What's more, hot videos are showcased on Music Choice's daily top ten.
