Copy DVDs to VHS With Playstation2?

The popular British Web site, The Register, is reporting that some of its readers and several Japanese Web sites devoted to the Playstation, have learned how to copy DVD movies to VHS tapes via the Playstation2 gaming console. The report said such copying can be done via the RGB port on the back of the console. Although the Playstation was not designed to play DVDs, it can be done using software on the console's memory card. Schematics for taping DVDs have been published on those Playstation Web sites.
