New IObit Advanced SystemCare 11 includes a rebuilt performance monitor
There are a wide number of system optimization tools on the market, many with varying degrees of success. There are few we’d care to recommend.
With this in mind, we were pleased to hear IObit has released IObit Advanced SystemCare 11, its hugely comprehensive all-in-one PC optimization suite.
So, what’s new? The new Security Reinforce module will locate, advise and fix security weaknesses it finds on your PC. The Homepage Advisor will monitor changes to your web browser homepage, when you install new software (does this really still happen in 2017?). A new Disk Optimization engine will attempt to improve drive performance, and general disk management has been improved with the Undelete module which will now scan portable devices for lost files. The UI has had an overhaul.
Most of the existing modules have also received an update. The Junk File Clean will now find junk from Dropbox, Windows Installer and many other unused files. The Privacy Sweep function will support the latest browsers, email clients and third-party tools such as ACDSee Photo Studio.
Advanced SystemCare 11 is free in its basic format, but also available in a PRO edition for $19.99. PRO includes an Internet Booster module, Auto RAM cleaning tool, a disk optimization feature, tools to improve system startup and much more.
That’s the good news. The less good news is that Advanced SystemCare 11, even in PRO mode, appears to operate as an advert for other IObit products. In addition to the offer on the Advanced SystemCare 11 homepage, go to certain modules such as Hardware Accelerate, which will explain that your drivers are out-of-date and you’re expected to download the separate Driver Booster. Why wasn’t this included? The Toolbox lists the other IObit apps that are available, whilst the Action Center lists all the other IObit apps with discounted prices. Yes, again, in the paid PRO version. Too much.
