The company boasts proudly of the "delightful performance" its developers have delivered to users of Windows 11. Pointing to statistics such as speeding up frequently used shell interaction by up to 15 percent, Microsoft says that over the last year it has made Windows 11 "faster, more reliable, and more efficient".

Although most people have long since moved on from Windows XP, some people are still running the ancient OS, even though Microsoft stopped supporting it way back in 2014.
Although the lack of support means continuing to use XP is a risky endeavor, it’s a stable and capable operating system that’s even able to run Windows 10.

If you've been holding off jumping on the Insider program for Windows 11, Microsoft just gave you two very good reasons for getting involved.
The latest build of the operating system on the Dev channel includes two long-awaited features. In addition to the option to stop the taskbar from combing app buttons, Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 23466 also includes, at long last, an easy way to view the password for wireless networks.

While the save and copy issues are more prevalent in commercial and enterprise environments, the problems can affect all users of Windows 10 and Windows 11. There is currently no fix available, but Microsoft has offered up a slightly laughable workaround.

Microsoft is set to bring an exciting update to Windows 11, offering native support for a wider range of archive formats. In a move to enhance compression capabilities, a future Windows 11 update will integrate the libarchive open-source project into the operating system. This update means that users can enjoy improved performance when working with popular archive formats such as tar, 7-zip, rar, gz, and more.
The addition of .rar support in Windows 11 is particularly noteworthy. RAR is a widely used archive format known for its efficient compression algorithms. With native .rar compatibility, Windows 11 eliminates the need for users to install separate extraction tools or software specifically designed for this format. This update streamlines workflows and offers greater convenience, allowing users to manage their files effortlessly within the Windows 11 environment.

For many people, however, one of the more exciting announcements was the news that as a result of the company's partnership with OpenAI, Bing is being added to ChatGPT as the default search experience.

If you have been experiencing problems opening the Start menu, launching UWP apps or accessing Windows search, you can draw some comfort from the fact that Microsoft is acknowledging that something is going wrong.
But, to make a change, the company is shifting the blame away from an often-at-fault Windows update. Microsoft says that the cornucopia of issues -- which can affect both Windows 10 and Windows 11 -- stem from updates to apps themselves rather than a problematic update for Windows.
