Best Windows 10 apps this week
Two-hundred-and-twenty-eight in a series. Welcome to this week's overview of the best apps, games and extensions released for Windows 10 on the Windows Store in the past seven days.
This year's Build conference will feature the first Windows Developer Awards, and there are two categories for game and app creators. You can cast your vote and check out the nominated apps and games with a click on the link above.

New Windows apps and games
Digital Rights Update Tool by Microsoft removes the copy protection of WMA audio files that were created using Windows Media Player.
When you rip audio CDs in Windows Media Player to the WMA file format, DRM is added to the files automatically.
Updates, or transfers, may render the audio files unusable because of the DRM, and this tool resolves that issue.
Microsoft charges $15 to add DVD playback support to Windows 10, this app delivers it for free.
The player supports DVD playback, and more than 150 audio and video files including popular formats such as mkv, mpg, flv, flac, or ogg.
Greater File Share turns the PC it runs on into a file server that works on the local network.
You may use it to share files or folders that are on the PC with QR codes, or use file navigation pages, WFC Service (net.tcp://) or Web API to call the APIs with another app or browser script.
Jelly Wars mixes Worms-like gameplay with empire building. Battles, which make up the core game, feature up to eight players in death match mode. Your task is to survive longer than anyone else by dodging attacks, throwing bombs, and using other powerful features to either do a lot of damage or keep your troops save from harm.
The build and upgrade part of the game has you gather resources to upgrade buildings and research blueprints that unlock more powerful weapons and gadgets for you to use in battle.
Live Home 3D is an interior design app that lets you to draft floor plans, and design and decorate the interior.
The free version of the application is packed with features. It lets you to draw rooms from scratch, look at 3D renders of those rooms at any time, draw walls, and make use more than 2100 materials and 1500 objects that the app ships with.
Creations may be exported into various formats, for instance as 360 degree panorama images.
Toy Soldiers Cold War: Touch Edition ($9.99, trial available)
Toy Soldiers Cold War: Touch Edition is an action game that has been specifically designed for touch-devices and tablets.
It is a remake of the Windows 8 version of the game featuring the main campaign of the game, and two add-ons that were not part of the original.
While you can play the game with mouse and keyboard, or gamepad, it is optimized for touch and works best on touch-devices.
WhatUHear allows you to record any sound you hear on any audio device that is connected to your Windows 10 PC.
The program works automatic for the most part. It picks the default audio device right away, and provides you with options to switch to another if available.
The app supports background recording, and records any audio to high quality wav files. Basically, if you can hear the audio, WhatUHear can record it.
Notable updates
Bread Player music player ships with new looks and features such as screen locking prevention, option to change album art manually, private playlists, new lists (favorite songs, most played, recently added), and last.fm scrobbling.
Next Player update brings Internet Radio support.
