Yesterday, Microsoft rolled out a new Windows 11 build for Insiders on the Dev Channel that offered new Start menu sign-in options.

Today, the software giant releases a new build to Insiders in the Beta Channel. Updates here are more representative of the version of Windows 11 set to start rolling out to non-Insiders next month. This build comes with a large number of fixes, and you can now enjoy playing around with some of apps that will be included in the new OS too.

Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel are currently testing builds from the company’s development branch (RS_PRERELEASE) and today the software giant releases Windows 11 Preview Build 22458.

Apple today unveiled a number of new products and -- with the exception of the redesigned iPad mini 5G -- there wasn’t much to get excited about.

Sure, the new iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini look good, and sport a number of improvements, especially in the camera department, but they lack the wow factor of previous new models. Of course, the new iPhone 13 Pro -- and super-sized iPhone 13 Pro Max -- is where the smart buyers are going to look right? Probably not.

Every year, Apple takes the wraps off its next generation of iPhone. Some years the new model is revolutionary, and other years, merely evolutionary. iPhone 13, revealed today, definitely falls into the latter class.

I own an Apple Watch Series 6, and I love it. I owned the original Apple Watch too -- which was a bit meh, if I'm honest -- and it’s been interesting to watch -- pun intended -- how the device has evolved and improved over the years.

It’s been rumored for a while that Amazon was planning to make its own smart TVs -- rather than just partnering with other television manufacturers to offer 'Fire TV Editions' (sets with Fire TV and Alexa built-in) -- and today the retail giant confirms this with the announcement of two new 'Amazon-built' smart TVs -- the Amazon Fire TV Omni Series and Fire TV 4-Series.

The Fire TV Omni Series is Amazon’s premium offering and it comes with far-field voice controls so you can talk to Alexa from across the room. Alexa voice controls are always available, even if the set if turned off. Don’t worry though, you can disable this feature if you’re not keen on the idea of a television set listening to your every word.

Build 22449, released today, follows on from Build 22000.168 released last week. The big leap in version numbers is because this new build is the first to come from the active development branch (RS_PRERELEASE). Future builds will no long match the Windows 11 that is set to roll out to users starting October 5.
