Best Windows 10 apps this week
Two-hundred-and-sixteen in a series. Welcome to this week's overview of the best apps, games and extensions released for Windows 10 on Windows Store in the past seven days.
It is time to update the original Windows 10 release as Microsoft will stop updating it after March 26.
This week saw the release of several blockbuster games, Resident Evil 7, but also interesting apps such as Boardpacks for Windows 10 and Video Editor 10.
As always, if I missed an app or game that has been released this week that you believe is particularly good, let me know in the comments below or notify me via email instead.
The following list is a selection of the best deals. Make sure you check out the Store for all offers.
Some apps are discounted for more than one week. Only new apps and games are listed below. Check out the previous post in the series for past offers that may still be valid.

New Windows apps and games
BoardPacks for Windows 10 enables you to manage meetings more efficiently. It requires a BoardPack account and will pull data from there and make it available in the application.
The app teaches you core concepts of creating technical drawings. Lessons are video based and easy to understand and follow.
The app teaches you how to draw, but does not include an editor or options to practice using it.
Flights Radar is a global flight tracking application for devices running Windows 10.
It offers real-time flight information, including options to search for individual flights, list flights at a certain location, or display all flights for a particular airline that are currently in the air.
Kyub ($14.99, no free trial)
Kyub is a puzzle and action game in which you control a cube. Your main objective in each of the 80 levels of the game is to get the cube from start to exit.
You "roll" the cube around in isometric levels, try to move it on moving platforms, take boxes with you to place on switches, and work with other more advanced puzzle elements later on in the game.
Kyub looks beautiful, and if puzzling is your thing, you may want to give it a try.
Resident Evil 7 biohazard ($59.99, no free trial)
Resident Evil 7 is a "back to its roots" game in the Resident Evil universe that puts the emphasize on suspense rather than shooting your way out of all situations.
It is a Play Anywhere title, which means that you pay for it once and can play it on any Windows 10 device and Xbox One.
Siegecraft Commander ($19.99, no free trial)
Siegecraft Commander is a tower defense game in which you need to destroy the enemy's keep in each level to proceed.
The game mechanics are not overly complex, but they offer some unique perspective. You build towers by firing them on the map, and a wall is placed between the new tower and the tower you started the action from.
The game features the usual assortment of towers, but the "wall" mechanic makes it more interesting than the usual tower defense game.
You may play a campaign as either of the two factions, or join multiplayer battles as well.
Tap the Blocks is a puzzle game in which you need to match two or more blocks of the same type.
What makes the game challenging is that it plays in real-time. You can click on as many matching blocks as you can manage, but need to make sure the ever increasing columns of blocks don't reach the abyss.
You lose a life for every block that reaches it, and when you are out of lives, it is game over.
The video editor enables you to cut, edit and create videos on Windows 10 devices.
Load videos, audio files and other assets from the local device or camera, cut and edit them, or add effects such as filters to the video.
The free version has some restrictions, like a video limit of 5 minutes.
The editor is not as powerful as commercial programs such as Adobe Premier Pro, AVS Video Editor, or Sony Vegas Studio, but it gets basic jobs done just as well.
Working Hours is a time tracking and management application.
You can use it to track work time, even without opening the app as you may use tile and notifications for that as well.
It supports edit operations, and you can export the data as Microsoft Excel spreadsheets or as CSV files. It integrates into the calendar system of Windows 10, and the Diarium app.
