Microsoft brings Cortana to the Android lock screen
Cortana has been available on Android for a year now (in the US at least), and Microsoft recently made its virtual assistant even more useful by making it accessible on the lock screen.
Today, however, the company takes things a stage further by making it possible to interact with Cortana above the lock.
That means Android users will be able get answers to questions, set reminders, and more without firstly needing to unlock the device, just as you can with Siri in iOS and Google Assistant.
In addition to that, Cortana can display more useful information about your day, and it's now easier to add, view and edit reminders and calendar items.
Microsoft also has good news for Cortana lovers in Australia, as both the Android and iOS apps are available there from today.
