Logitech M720 Triathlon Multi-Device Bluetooth Mouse is perfect for Linux dual-booters

Nowadays, running more than one operating system on your computer is a breeze. Modern Linux-based operating system installers, for instance, take most of the hard work out of setting things up -- it used to be a much more difficult affair. It is not uncommon for people to dual-boot, say, Windows and Ubuntu. Heck, some folks even tri-boot with OS X.

A problem with running multiple operating systems on one machine is Bluetooth pairing. If you own a Bluetooth mouse, for instance, every time you switch the OS, you have to pair again. This becomes extremely tedious. Today, Logitech announces a product that alleviates that pain-point. Called the M720 Triathlon Multi-Device Mouse, it allows easy switching between up to three computers and/or operating systems.

Logitech unveils 'Z625 Powerful THX Sound' 2.1 speakers with optical input

When people think of desktop computer speakers, their minds likely go to low-quality freebies that came with the machine. My first-ever PC, a Packard Bell, came with speakers that attached to the sides of the included CRT monitor. The sound quality was terrible (they hummed), but this was acceptable at the time; most folks didn't use their computer for listening to music or watching full length-films back then. It wasn't until the mp3 revolution that the PC became the central point of music and other media for some.

Believe it or not, over the years, generic OEM desktop computer speakers have remained fairly average. Of course, in-the-know audio enthusiasts could always upgrade to some quality gear from a company like Logitech. Speaking of that company, today it  announces its latest set of 2.1 speakers, the 'Z625 Powerful THX Sound'. Featuring both RCA and optical inputs, they should prove quite versatile. Whether it is for a desktop, laptop, or even a television. Logitech's latest looks like an affordable winner.

'Cool off' with the Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum Snow 7.1 Wireless Gaming Headset

During the colder months, some folks look forward to the summer so they can have fun in the sun. Yeah, at first hanging out in the pool or at the beach can be totally fun. When hardcore heatwaves hit, however, and the temperature becomes too much to take, the summer novelty quickly wears off.

In many places this week, it has been sweltering -- my air conditioning has been cranked up in both my house and car. Today, Logitech announces a new way to cool down -- sort of. Well, not really. You see, the existing G933 Artemis Spectrum 7.1 Wireless Gaming Headset is getting a fresh coat of white paint. The company is calling this edition 'Snow' which, from a psychological aspect, sounds pretty good to this sweaty gamer. Phew!

Logitech G unveils eSports-focused 'Pro' gaming mouse

As a casual gamer, I don't necessarily need hardcore gaming accessories designed for professional eSports competitors. With that said, I place a high value on quality products. If there is a well-built mouse or keyboard that can improve my gaming performance, I am all for it.

The problem, unfortunately, is that many products designed for 'gamers' can look downright ridiculous. Look, just because a mouse, for instance, is designed for playing games, doesn't mean it has to look like an alien spacecraft. Today, Logitech G (as in Gaming) unveils its newest gaming mouse, called simply 'Pro'. Guess what? The wired mouse's design is both simple and elegant, while not being boring (you can customize the RGB lighting). Finally!

Logitech Pop Home Switch is brilliantly simple

Connected-home technology and the Internet of Things are poised to explode in popularity over the next several years. My, how far humanity has come -- having our refrigerators, thermostats, and door locks connected to the internet. Huzzah! All joking aside, it is actually exciting stuff, folks.

Today, Logitech announces a very curious home device. Simply called "Pop", it is a switch, that when pressed, can perform an action. Actually, each switch can do three actions, depending on how the user interacts with it. It is looking like Logitech has hit a home-run with Pop.

Logitech releases Logi CREATE keyboard for Apple iPad Pro 9.7

Tim Cook has been pushing the iPad Pro as a desktop/laptop replacement. You know what? He isn't wrong. Well, depending on a user's needs, of course. For many people, it just won't work -- Windows, Ubuntu, or OS X would be better. If all you do is surf the web, go on social media, or leverage a word processing app, it can be quite brilliant. Heck, it can even succeed at editing both photos and videos if your expectations aren't too high.

With all of that said, the tablet on its own is hardly a productivity workhouse without an important accessory -- a keyboard. Can you buy Apple's keyboard cover? Yeah, and it is pretty good, but many consumers prefer Logitech's Logi CREATE variant instead. Unfortunately, the backlit keyboard is only available for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Today, this changes, as the company releases the keyboard for the 9.7-inch variant too.

Logitech unveils '2016 Party Collection' of mobile mice for Windows, macOS, and Linux

I recall a time when all PCs and accessories, such as mice and keyboards, only came in an ugly shade of beige. Later, black would become all the rage, but Steve Jobs and Apple broke all the rules with the iconic "Bondi Blue" iMac.

Nowadays, computers and accessories come in a cornucopia of colors an styles -- even multi-color LED lights to make them shine like a lava lamp. Today, Logitech unveils some funky mobile mice with its all-new "2016 Party Collection". Not only do they feature wild colors, but fun patterns and designs too. I rather love the flamingos!

Ultimate Ears unveils colorful UE ROLL 2 Bluetooth speaker -- ready for summer fun!

Bluetooth speakers are a dime a dozen nowadays. Quite frankly, there are so many on the market, that it is almost impossible to impress me with one. With that said, last year, Ultimate Ears did exactly that with the UE ROLL. That speaker was diminutive, durable, and most importantly, sounded insanely good.

Today, Ultimate Ears announces the sequel to its popular offering, the UE ROLL 2. Amazingly, the speaker retains the same $99 price as its predecessor, while also improving on it. The still-round speaker looks to be another winner.

Jaybird releases Freedom Wireless Bluetooth Buds

Bluetooth headphones are a godsend for those that run and exercise. Heck, they are convenient for sedentary users too. Traditional analog variants -- which use a wire -- can get tangled and stuck on equipment. This can be dangerous to both the user and the device to which the wire is connected. With rumors of future iPhone devices ditching a 3.5mm jack, wireless headphones could become even more important.

Today, Jaybird -- a company recently acquired by Logitech -- releases the Freedom Wireless Bluetooth Buds. The "smart" headphones are designed for active people -- they are resistant to sweat, and offer up to eight hours of battery life. It can even interact with a mobile app called 'MySound' for iOS and Android.

Control your home using Sony Android TV, Logitech Harmony Hub, and exclusive beta app

Home automation and control is all the rage nowadays. Doing things such as turning on lights or adjusting a thermostat with a smartphone -- or other connected device -- is not only convenient, but empowering for those with disabilities too. Think about it -- if someone is unable to get out of a bed, for instance, they can utilize this technology to be more independent.

Today, Logitech announces a really cool new way to interface with its Harmony Hub -- Sony Android TVs. By installing a special beta version of the Logitech Harmony app, you can control your home using an on-screen television interface.

Logi ZeroTouch from Logitech is a smart car mount for Android smartphones

People are seemingly addicted to their smartphones nowadays. You know what I am talking about. Everywhere I go, I see people glued to their phones like zombies. You know what? I am guilty of this too. While I am texting and tweeting while walking or eating in a restaurant, I never do so while driving -- that is just plain stupid. Unfortunately, many people are guilty of texting and driving. It became so prevalent here on Long Island, that some rest stops on the expressway were re-purposed as "text stops", so people can pull over to interact with their tech.

If for whatever reason you need to interact with your phone while driving -- texting, making phone calls, playing music, etc. -- Logitech has a new solution so that it can be done more safely. The Logi ZeroTouch is a car mount for your Android phone, but it is more than that. It is "smart", meaning that your phone knows when it is in the mount, enabling a hands-free experience.

Logitech announces C925e Webcam for meetings, vlogging, and live-streaming

When webcams first came to prominence, they were a grainy mess. Still, having the ability to video chat with another person over the internet was cool as heck. Nowadays, such cameras are used for even more things, such as business meetings, vlogging, and live-streaming over services like Twitch and Stream.me.

While many laptops and monitors have webcams integrated into them, they aren't always the best quality (ahem, Apple's brand-new MacBook with obsolete 480p quality). Luckily, third-party USB variants exist. One of the more popular manufacturers of these cams is Logitech. Today, that company announces its newest such model, the C925e, which is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Adopt a dog or cat, get a free Logi Circle Home Security Camera

The month of May is National Pet Month. As an animal lover, it is very important to me. It breaks my heart to think of unloved cats and dogs in shelters. Whenever that ASPCA commercial comes on TV -- the one with the Sarah McLachlan music -- I have to change the channel; it can literally make me cry.

If you are thinking of getting a pet, I urge you to go to a shelter, as it can save the animal's life. Logitech is upping the ante, however, as it is giving away free Logi Circle Home Security Cameras to those that adopt either a cat or dog from two specific places in May. Does a free home surveillance camera make you more likely to adopt a pet?

If you are a fan of Apple's iOS, you may be intrigued by the iPad Pro, and rightfully so. Regardless of the screen size you choose, the elegant professional-level tablet is not only great for some business cases, but having fun too.

Today, continuing the elegance trend with the iPad Pro, Logi (a Logitech sub-brand) announces BASE. Leveraging the 'Smart Connector' charging pins found on Apple's pro tablets, the stand supplies electricity to the device while both propping it up and proudly displaying the iPad like art.

SmartThings brings new Belkin WeMo devices to the UK family, certifies Harmony

There's no shortage of connected devices on the market these days and more seem to come along almost daily. The problem, to an extent, is interoperability. That's improving somewhat as devices are starting to play nice with other systems.

Now SmartThings, one of the more popular offerings on the market, is introducing new products to its UK line. Both are from Belkin, which makes the WeMo line.
