Sun Releases Beta of Star Office for Windows

Sun Microsystems, in its efforts to compete with Microsoft Office in the Windows arena, has announced the availability of Star Office 5.2 beta for download. This version focuses on improving Microsoft Office file type support to make it easy to migrate to the Star Office set of business applications, as well as improved support for importing and exporting to and from MS Office. Over 200 other features have been added to this release, and it can be downloaded from FileForum. Testing runs until April 4, 2000. Visit the Star Office site to learn more about it.
