Microsoft Releases Datacenter Server Beta 2

The next big addition to the Windows 2000 family, Datacenter Server, has hit beta 2 according to Microsoft. This release will ship to Microsoft business partners, including server hardware vendors, IHVs, ISVs, and several research institutes. This is done in order to create software that cooperates well with the system, as well as to create Datacenter Server Hardware Compatibility tests.
