Windows 2000 on Alpha - Not!

Paul Thurrott is now reporting that from internal e-mails forwarded to him from inside Compaq, it seems that Windows 2000 will not be made compatible with the Alpha platform. The e-mail explicitly stated that the project was dead and that Microsoft is no longer working on any builds for the platform. One source even told Paul that Microsoft may be getting rid of all its Alpha hardware. Just yesterday Thurrott made the claim that inside sources told him the project may be revived soon.
