Microsoft Integrator Speeds Up CMS

Artemis, a Microsoft system integrator, has opened its MCMS.RAPID beta program. MCMS.RAPID is a open source package designed to accelerate deployments of Microsoft Content Management Server 2003. The product is intended to make MCMS "quickstart" so that implementation costs are lower and utility is higher.
MCMS.RAPID is an alternative to Microsoft's FrontPage environment and is depicted by Microsoft Architectural Systems Engineer Mark Harrison as, "the primary building blocks needed for any CMS site." Harrison asserts that Microsoft is planning to invest heavily in the next version of the server and touts MCMS.RAPID as a platform for building repeatable vertical solutions.
