Apple: Try a Mac Mini for 30 Days

Apple quietly added an option to its Web site earlier this week allowing for customers to test out the company's Mac Mini product for a period of thirty days. The promotion is only being honored through Apple's online store.

"We’re so confident you'll love your new Mac mini, we'll let you test drive it for 30 days with no risk," the promotion's Web site reads. "If you decide you don't want it, we'll take it back."

Customers will able to purchase any of the Mac Mini's three models to take part in the program, however customized systems do not qualify.

To return the item, the customer must contact Apple within 30 days of purchase. Apple says it would also allow a keyboard and mouse to be returned if they were bought with the product.

The system and accessories must be returned "in their original, unmarked packaging, including any accessories, manuals, documentation, and registration cards that shipped with them" for a full refund.

Some speculate that the timing of Apple's trial offer may be an attempt at gaining new users through back-to-school computer purchases.

The promotion runs through October 31.
