Nokia Lumia 830 will be available through AT&T
When Microsoft announced Lumia 830 earlier this month, it made no specific mention of the so-called "first affordable flagship" arriving in US stores. The price was also listed in Euros (€330, before taxes and subsidies) from the get-go, reinforcing the idea that, like many other Nokia-branded devices before it, Lumia 830 was destined for other markets.
However, that does not appear to be the case, as US mobile operator AT&T has revealed that it will offer Lumia 830. But it remains to be seen whether the new Windows Phone will also make its way to Verizon, T-Mobile or Sprint.
AT&T has not disclosed any other information, like the price of Lumia 830 on a two-year contract or its off-contract cost. AT&T has also made no mention of when its customers can expect to see Lumia 830 arrive in its online or brick and mortar stores.
As opposed to the availability, the first part is somewhat easier to estimate. The before taxes and subsidies European price-tag of €330 translates into about $426. But, that would be an unusual price point though, so I believe Lumia 830's off-contract cost will be either $400 or $450, with the former being more likely, as to appeal to more potential buyers.
Microsoft quickly updated its blog post announcing the unveiling of Lumia 830, to reflect its upcoming availability on AT&T, and it too does not give away any details regarding cost or availability.
