Delphix partners with Azure to ease cloud migration
Microsoft Azure is increasingly popular as a business cloud platform, but migrating to Azure often means bringing together data from a range of sources. Lack of access to this data can hinder development and slow delivery.
Data management specialist Delphix is launching a new Dynamic Data Platform for Azure, which offers enterprises the ability to streamline cloud migration projects, accelerate development and testing, and significantly reduce cost and complexity.
"Delphix enables fast, secure migration of data to the cloud and a platform to access the right data at the right time," says Chris Cook, CEO of Delphix. "Through this collaboration with Microsoft, we will help our customers maximize their cloud investment and realize the promised benefits of speed, agility and lower costs -- while maintaining data privacy and security. Delphix will help our customers optimize every aspect of their cloud journey with help from Microsoft."
The Delphix platform gives data operators the tools to connect easily with multiple data sources -- in the cloud or on-premise -- to secure the data, and to quickly provision personal, virtualized environments for data consumers. Data pods give users access to powerful self-service capabilities to manage their environments with single-click refresh, point-in-time recovery, versioning, bookmarking and sharing.
Data can be moved to cloud environments faster, with continuous synchronization with source data systems, wherever they're located, to allow rapid data refreshes. It also ensures security and governance for sensitive data with integrated, automated masking and the ability to customize these security capabilities to address specific needs. There's integration with DevOps tools too, providing for greater levels of automation.
"As companies move more workloads to the cloud, efficiently managing data across environments while maintaining security and compliance is a key requirement for success," says Sajan Parihar, director, Microsoft Azure Platform at Microsoft. "We are very excited about the opportunity that the Delphix platform will bring to customers to help quicker and easier migration of on-premise workloads to Microsoft Azure."
