Microsoft plans to move several native apps to a new System Components hub in Windows 11. The apps include Get Help, Microsoft Store and Windows Security. A new Systems label will be shown in the Start Menu as well and, somewhat surprisingly, for more apps.

Microsoft released the fourth Moment update alongside the optional non-security preview update for Windows 11 version 22H2. It includes a preview of Windows Copilot, the new Windows Backup app, and many other changes. While it may be tempting to install it right away, most users may want to wait until the official release in October (at the very least).

Microsoft leaked its internal staging tool for a brief period this week. It works similarly to the open source tool ViVeTool, in that it gives administrators the option to enable or disable Windows features that are not enabled for all users at the time.

Microsoft plans to end support for the Mail and Calendar apps for Windows at the end of 2024. The new Outlook for Windows application will replace the apps and users will be migrated automatically to the new application starting in August 2023.
