Confidential data leaked online following Gigabyte attack

Earlier this month Taiwanese hardware maker Gigabyte confirmed that it was under ransomware attack from a hacker group calling itself RansomEXX.
Now researchers at CyberNews have discovered that confidential data apparently belonging to Gigabyte has been leaked on a hacker forum.
GIGABYTE refreshes BRIX compact barebone PCs with 7th Gen Intel Kaby Lake processors

Size matters. Well, when it comes to computers, at least. Look, long gone are the days of having dedicated computer rooms where a family shares a single monstrous tower. With so many adults moving back home with their parents, houses and apartments are much more cramped, meaning fewer vacant rooms. True, a laptop can alleviate this, but so can a diminutive desktop. By taking up less space (some can even be VESA mounted to the rear of a monitor), a compact PC can allow a desk or table to serve other purposes than simply being home to a tower.
There are many choices in the compact PC market nowadays, such as the brilliant System76 Meerkat, or the new HP mini computers -- Wave and Slice. If you want a barebones system, however, GIGABYTE's BRIX line is a legit alternative to Intel's own NUC. Today, BRIX gets a refresh with all-new 7th Gen Intel 'Kaby Lake' Processors.
Gigabyte Aorus X7 Pro v3: A fast, stylish entertainment notebook [Review]

When we took our first look at the original Aorus X7, we were decidedly impressed at how much Gigabyte had managed to fit into a notebook just over 2cm thick.
The Aorus X7 Pro v3 improves the specs further, promising even more performance in an incredibly portable package for a notebook aimed primarily at entertainment.
Gigabyte P25X v2: A power portable that gives you a lot for your money [Review]

Ultra-portables, tablets, Ultrabooks and hybrids may be great feats of miniaturization, but if you want serious power a larger device will be a necessity. Anyone serious about the quality and resolution of their entertainment will need a desktop replacement of some sort. Gigabyte's P25X v2 is definitely in the latter camp, with its 15in chassis packed full of processing and graphics power. But its price isn't as hefty as its chassis.
The P25X v2 is not exactly subtle in its styling. It boasts a bright yellow lid with chrome effect edging and hinge, although the remainder of the system is a much more sober black. At 2.8kg, it's not exactly lightweight, although this is par for the course with the 15in chassis format.
Gigabyte's low-cost Atom-powered portable gets a name

The much anticipated, 8.9-inch, Intel Atom-powered ultra-low-cost PC from motherboard manufacturer Gigabyte, expected to hit the market in June, now has a name: M912.
Unfortunately, that's still all it officially has. As DigiTimes reported this morning, The M912 is reportedly being both designed and manufactured in-house so the company can release it in a timely fashion. If Gigabyte's current UMPC/MID offerings are any indication, the device could take on the "slider" form factor instead of the traditional "clamshell" laptop/notebook design.
Gigabyte Spinoff with AsusTek Pre-empted Acquisition by Foxconn

There will be a new motherboard provider emerging this Thursday, complete with the brand name of one of the most respected suppliers in the industry. Gigabyte United officially comes online on December 7, as the joint venture of two of the enthusiast segment's most revered brands, Gigabyte and AsusTek.
The new name made the enthusiast press treat the news initially as a merger agreement, with Gigabyte the 51% controlling entity. But in an interview published over the weekend by the Indian technology supplier news provider DQ Channels, one of the new company's key marketing managers made it quite clear the two companies are not merging.
