If unnecessary animations irk you, you can disable the animations that are used on windows and mail and change the look of Contacts and Calendar.

You can customize the appearance of the dock as Launchpad and decided whether or not permanent scrollbars should really be permanent on display. Other options include the ability to enable TRIM support., enable Airdrop on older hardware and disable Gatekeeper.
