Microsoft Supercharges X-Box

Microsoft has reportedly decided to up the processor in the upcoming X-Box gaming system from its original 600MHz design to a new Pentium III 733Mhz chip. Considering that will be about half the computing power of Chipzilla's fastest processor by the time X-Box hits the store shelves, Microsoft responded by saying that the graphics card will be performing so much that a 1GHz processor would sit idle for one third of the time anyways. The hardware in the gaming console is expected to have a 2-year lifetime. Visit Microsoft for more information.
