CalendarBar: Easy access to iCal and Google Calendar

The simplest of tools are often the best, and this is something demonstrated perfectly by CalendarBar for Mac OS X. This tiny utility adds an icon to the menu bar of OS X that provides access to a list of calendar events stored in iCal, Google Calendar or even in your Facebook account. As the app is based in the menu bar, it is always available, eliminating the need to switch apps to check the date or time of an upcoming appointment.
To help make things even easier, a keyboard shortcut can be created to toggle the display of the CalendarBar popup, and the menu bar icon can be configured to indicate the number of appointments that are due today -- ideal for checking how busy your day's schedule is at a glance.
If you have multiple calendars set up in either iCal or Google Calendar, CalendarBar can be configured to display only the most important ones. Depending on how busy your schedule is, you can choose how often the app should synchronize events with Google Calendar -- anything from every five minutes to on a 12-hourly basis.
Anyone who likes to keep track of events that have already taken place can opt to have past events displayed, but if you're looking to keep things as uncluttered as possible, they can also be hidden. The look of the app is completely customizable, and you can change the font that is used for events and dates, as well as choosing a style for the event list.
This is a good looking little app that could be a great productivity enhancer. Find out more by paying a visit to the CalendarBar review page.
