New blood hacker infiltrates US Navy server, posts results

Cyberthief
A hacker going by the handle ".c0mrade" claims to have hacked the U.S. Navy's site navy.mil, and has published a partial list of the information he obtained in a pastebin dump.

According to security analysis group IdentityFinder, the breach includes the "Data Profiles" of 29 accounts on navy.mil servers, as well as a description of navy.mil subdomains and servers.

In a separate file, ".c0mrade" posted 171 military email addresses and cracked passwords in alphabetical order starting with aa* through an*. These email addresses belonged to each of the major branches of the US armed forces top level domains, including army.mil, navy.mil, af.mil, and usmc.mil.

Currently it is only a small leak, but the incomplete alphabetical list suggests the hacker is working his way through the passwords (Almost all of which have thus far been weak, or dictionary words), and that he may publish more in the future.

We will update this story with more information as it arises.
