Extended GodMode unlocks advanced features in Windows 10

First introduced in Windows 7, and still working just fine in Windows 10, God Mode is a hidden feature that displays all of the admin tools and control options in Microsoft's operating system, on a single screen. There are actually a number of different God Modes available which offer extra functionality. We explained how to unlock them all here.

Microsoft releases Windows 10 Build 20236 with the ability to change the refresh rate of your display

Windows Insiders on the Dev Channel get another new Windows 10 build to play with today.

Build 20236 adds the ability to change the refresh rate of a selected display by going to Settings > System > Display > Advanced display settings. The rates on offer will vary depending on what your hardware supports, but a higher refresh rate should deliver smoother motion.

Microsoft releases Windows 10 Build 20231 with improved setup

The latest Windows 10 build for Insiders in the Dev Channel introduces a couple of new features.

First up in Build 20231 is a new page in the Windows out-of-box experience (OOBE) setup which asks users what they will primarily be using Windows 10 for (Gaming, Schoolwork, Family, Entertainment, Creativity, or Business) to help ensure the OS gets set up correctly.

Redesigned Windows 10 with blur effects looks incredible!

Windows 10 is a decent operating system, but it isn’t what you’d call exciting to look at. The recent Start menu update, with a translucent background, and new Fluent Design icons, is definitely a step in the right direction, but it doesn’t go far enough.

If there’s one thing that Windows 10 really needs, it’s a visual overhaul, and making good use of Microsoft’s Fluent Design system, with blur effects, transforms a slightly bland looking operating system into something amazing.

Amazon's new Echo and Echo Dot smart speakers get a spherical design

Microsoft releases Windows 10 Build 20221 with Meet Now, Skype's Zoom alternative

Yesterday, Microsoft rolled out a patch to what will be the Windows 10 October 2020 Update (20H2). This is available to those Insiders on the Beta and Release Preview Channels.

Insiders on the Dev Channel shouldn’t feel left out however, as today they can install Build 20221, and this comes with Skype's Meet Now feature.

Microsoft releases new patch for Windows 10 October 2020 Update (20H2)

Four days ago, Microsoft started to roll out what it thought would be the final release for Windows 10 20H2 (October 2020 Update as it’s also known) to Insiders in the Beta and Release Preview Channels -- Build 19042.508 (KB4571756).

Today it updates that 'final' build to 19042.541, fixing a massive list of issues.
