Whenever I go to NYC, I have an internal struggle over transportation. Once I arrive in Penn Station by way of the Long Island Railroad, do I choose a yellow cab, or an Uber ride? Many things weigh on my choice, such as the weather, or a very long wait at the cab line in front of Madison Square Garden.
Now it seems I have yet another factor in my decision -- Beyoncé. How is the superstar singing sensation impacting my choice between yellow cab and Uber? Well, American Express is now offering a chance to win tickets to her sold-out tour. By using a specific promo code when paying for your Uber ride, you could win two tickets to the Formation World Tour. If you win, you will also get round-trip Uber transportation to and from the concert.
"American Express in partnership with The Formation World Tour announce today a promotion with Uber to give Beyoncé fans #AmexAccess to sold out shows across the U.S. Starting today, Uber riders will be able to request the 'FORMATION' view in the Uber iOS or Android app after they enter the promo code FORMATIONAMEX, while limited supplies last. If an Uber rider requests and is matched to a 'FORMATION' ride, they will receive two tickets courtesy of American Express to the highly-anticipated tour in their city, as well as a complimentary round-trip uberX ride to and from the concert venue".

Formation Tour Package: Must be 18+. You and one guest only. Group must be ready to leave at time of request, and must arrive together. Return trip only valid on day of the concert, from concert venue, and must be on uberX and valid up to $50. Tickets and rides subject to limited availability. Limited supply offer may be modified or discontinued at any time without notice. Fulfillment of this offer is the sole responsibility of Uber.
In order to be eligible, you must use the promo code while requesting a ride in one of the below cities on the associated date. It is very specific.

True, it would be silly to request a ride only for the purpose of entering the contest. With that said, if you were planning on using Uber in one of those cities anyway, you might as well use the promo code.
