Windows 2000, Hits 1 Million Mark

Microsoft said today that they have sold more than 1 million copies of Windows 2000, after only a month.

“We are thrilled with the tremendous customer response to the Windows 2000 platform,”: Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer said in a statement to the press. “Reaching 1 million units so quickly is testimony to the high quality and reliability of Windows 2000.”

As well, Microsoft said it had received an “extremely low” number of problem calls for windows2000, and that the number of calls user was much lower than for any other Microsoft OS.
“The low number of support calls reflects the overall quality of Windows 2000 as well as the fact that the appropriate customers are obtaining this product, namely businesses that have taken the time to pilot and test Windows 2000,” Microsoft stated in a press release.
