Cisco: 2 for $501 Million

Cisco Systems, announced today that they plan to buy two companies InfoGear and JetCell for a combined $501 Million dollars.



InfoGear Technology Corp. of Redwood City, Calif., will be purchased by stock buyout, valued at about $301 million, while JetCell Inc. of Menlo Park, will be bought for about $200 million in stock.


InfoGear who are the maker’s of the iPhone, an Internet ‘screen phone’ that allows users to surf the internet manage appliances from remote locations; will be accompanied by JetCell who develops communications systems that allow wireless network connections within a business' building.
