Orb Adds Support for TiVo Streaming

Orb Networks, maker of software that enables Windows XP users to stream digital media from their home PCs to anywhere with a network connection, announced DVR Everywhere on Thursday, a new product for viewing TiVo recordings on the go. As an add-on to the Orb software, DVR Everywhere is free of charge and works with Wi-Fi enabled laptops and even cell phones.

"A lot of times, my TiVo DVR records my favorite TV shows while I'm at the office or flying to another country," said Ian McCarthy, Vice President of Product Marketing at Orb Networks. "Now I have options for enjoying them whenever I want. I can play them at work, stream them to my Nokia phone on Cingular here in the US, or remotely initiate a TiVoToGo transfer to my laptop's TiVo Desktop."
