Twitter is working on a 'save for later' feature called, uninspiringly, Bookmarks
Twitter is one of the more divisive social media platforms out there, managing to attract passionate love and hate in just about equal measure. But even people who use and like Twitter freely admit that it has its problem, one of which is the lack of a bookmarking feature.
There is the option to "like" tweets, but this can be an awkward way to save something you're interested in reading later. Recognizing that users need something rather more robust and useful, Twitter is working on a feature called Bookmarks.

This is not the first time we've heard about such a feature, but now it seems as though real progress has been made towards actually bringing it to users. Twitter is not giving anything away in terms of when Bookmarks might go public, but it would appear to be near to completion judging by the fact that it is now being openly discussed.
Tina Koyama, staff product designer at Twitter, said:
We went through all the designed flows and picked the ones that are the easiest to navigate to test out with our community. You told us that you want tweets you've bookmarked to be private, so only you can see it. We kept this in mind while creating designs for the feature.
She also tweeted a sneak preview of what the feature could end up looking like on mobile devices:
News from the #SaveForLater team! We’ve decided to call our feature Bookmarks because that's a commonly used term for saving content and it fits nicely alongside the names of the other features in the navigation. pic.twitter.com/cQ0X1PHlsR
