GlobalSCAPE Launches CuteMX and Music Portal

LIVE FROM INTERNET WORLD - GlobalSCAPE, makers of the popular Cute series of applications including CuteFTP, CuteZIP, and CuteHTML, have rejoined the ongoing battle for the file sharing crown. In addition to the final release of CuteMX, their Internet file sharing program, GlobalSCAPE has rolled out a new music portal with information ranging from copyright details to tips for bands trying to catch a break on the Internet music scene.

In development for the past six months, CuteMX offers users an intuitive interface bundled with all the options, which include chatting and real time file lists to avoid broken links. CuteMX allows you to stay in control of who sees you online and who can download from you via its friends and enemies list.

The program supports a variety of file types and offers multiple search parameters to make finding what you want a much quicker process. Through a Wizard, CuteMX automatically sets up your computer to share files over the network.

Users must set up an account with a login and password on the CuteMX network, which gives then allows access to the online chatting and multimedia files. Once downloads are completed, CuteMX gives users an integrated media player to listen to the songs without launching another application.

To coincide with CuteMX, GlobalSCAPE has created an online music portal CuteMX.com dealing with up-and-coming artists who are trying to gain exposure and listeners. Visitors can find music news and headlines on a variety of topics, as well as information about getting started in the music industry and current copyright issues.

The site also offers streaming music free of charge, in genres ranging from alternative to classical by way of a partnership GlobalSCAPE inked with Tucows Music.
