New launch offers data loss prevention for American SMBs
The potential for data loss is there for all businesses, but smaller organizations often don’t have the resources to guard against it as effectively as larger ones.
Safetica, an established European data loss prevention company, is launching in North America and aiming its software at small and medium businesses. It's easy to use, helps businesses of all sizes comply with regulations, and Safetica provides support before and after deployment at no charge.
Using a contextual approach, Safetica protects files based on how they're used. It can spot risky employee behaviors and prevent sensitive data from being accidentally or deliberately shared. In addition Safetica Mobile allows businesses to lock and wipe any lost or stolen devices remotely, as well as protect data on BYOD devices.
Designed to be intuitive to use for companies that don't have a large IT staff or highly developed data protection and security expertise, it makes it easier for businesses to comply with regulations such as HIPAA, SOX and PCI security standards. The software is also easy to manage once installed. Using a cloud-based dashboard interface, managers can monitor how data is accessed and transferred on all local, external, network, and cloud services, company-wide.
"Every business and organization large or small has a responsibility and need to protect customer and confidential data from leaving their organization. At Safetica, we're making sure the mid-market and small businesses of the world can access the technology and expert support they need to do just that," says Luke Walling, general manager of Safetica North America.
The software is available now and you can visit the Safetica website for a free trial.
