Twitter makes it easier to report abusive tweets en masse
There has been a lot of interest in online abuse in recent months, and social networks are taking steps to weed out the trolls and abusers. Twitter has already introduced a number of measures to help tackle trolls, and today announces the availability of a new reporting tool for users.
Now rather than having to report a number of abusive tweets individually, it is possible to report up to five tweets simultaneously. As well as reducing the workload for someone who feels the need to report content, the new tool also makes things easier for Twitter as it allows for additional information to be gathered.
Twitter says: "This update makes it easier for you to provide us with more information about the extent of abuse and reduces the time it takes to do so. That added context often helps us investigate issues and get them resolved faster. Safety continues to be a top priority at Twitter. We have more improvements coming that will give you even more control over your experience and look forward to sharing those updates soon".
As well as a blog post, Twitter made the announcement in -- of course -- a tweet, through its Safety account:
Report abuse on Twitter more easily than ever. Find out how to protect yourself and others.https://t.co/1MEfTzkfFL

The new reporting option is rolling out to iOS, Android and the web. If you don't see it straight away, Twitter says you should do so in the coming weeks.
