New Huddle release improves security and control
Business collaboration tools are increasingly essential in the enterprise, but they need to keep content secure, especially in professional services environments that handle sensitive client data.
Collaboration specialist Huddle is tackling this with the launch of its Unified Authentication Portal. Using a single sign on, this lets account managers apply policies across Huddle's web, desktop and mobile apps in one step, simplifying the process of keeping content secure.
"Security is a top concern for most enterprises; however this is especially true of professional services firms who are collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis" says Stuart Cochran, CTO at Huddle. "In our latest release we’ve doubled down on our commitment to being the industry’s most secure cloud-collaboration platform, making it even easier to keep data secure regardless of who has access. This is especially important, particularly when the success of an engagement depends on efficient collaboration and communications between internal teams, the clients and other external partners".
Key features of the portal include greater insight into user activity, allowing administrators to apply more granular permissions for internal and external users, plus support for cross-domain identity management to automate the process of adding, removing or changing users.
In addition it has multi-factor authentication for additional security, plus a PIN lock to keep data secure by forcing users to unlock the Huddle iOS app with a unique code. "Security is the cornerstone of our product, which is why 80 percent of UK government departments, NASA, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the National Institutes for Health, and other agencies across the US federal government have chosen Huddle," add Cochran.
