Bitdefender reveals first public beta of Bitdefender Total Security 2018

BitdefenderBeta

Bitdefender has announced the availability of Bitdefender Total Security 2018, the first public beta of its next generation security suite.

New features include a Webcam Protection module which notifies you when apps try to access your webcam, and blocks unauthorized usage.

"Advanced Threat Defense" is a new technology which tries to identify suspect processes from their behavior. This aims to keep you safe from the very latest malware, including ransomware.

The "Safe Files" modules protects selected files from unauthorized changes. Right now this is available for Mac only, but it’ll be arriving for Windows soon.

The Bitdefender Firewall is getting a brand new interface, too, but that’s also "coming soon."

These and other features are scheduled to arrive with the beta update, expected on June 13th. Beta testing ends on 29th June.

Bitdefender Total Security 2018 beta is available now for Windows and Mac.
