Ivanti inventories and protects enterprise endpoints
Endpoint systems continue to be the weakest point for most organizations, allowing a potential route for hackers to penetrate networks and steal data.
IT and security operations specialist Ivanti is launching a new version of its Endpoint Manager and Endpoint Security aimed at simplifying endpoint management and security with an integrated console and workflows.
Ivanti Endpoint Manager combines device discovery and inventory capabilities with secure configuration management to build an organization’s defense strategy. Ivanti Endpoint Security for Endpoint Manager extends prevention support with capabilities including device and application control and, in this release, provides new features to automate device isolation and remediation during a security event.
"Endpoints continue to pose the greatest security risks in today's enterprise," says Duane Newman, vice president, product management and marketing at Ivanti. "With the latest release of Ivanti Endpoint Manager, we are helping to streamline Security and IT Operations team processes while working to reduce the attack surface. New security automation in our Endpoint Security for Endpoint Manager solution will even detect infected devices, isolate them from the network and remediate them for rapid incident response."
Features of Endpoint Security for Endpoint Manager include automated detection using Ivanti detection logic, along with an API that integrates with leading endpoint security solutions, allowing detection of new malware events quickly for immediate response. Once a breach is detected, Endpoint Security for Endpoint Manager will isolate the device from the network automatically, preventing the malware from spreading throughout the network.
It can also automate actions that are triggered by the detection of malware. These include installing software and running scripts as well as allowing remote access while the machine is isolated. Administrators can perform forensic analysis and re-image the infected machine, speeding up recovery to a production state.
Endpoint Manager is available as an on premises or hosted cloud solution and includes support for IoT devices as well as Ubuntu-based systems. Endpoints can be managed via an agent or mobile device management. Real time analysis and dashboards allow informed decision making related to key processes like Windows 10 migrations, software and hardware discovery, and more.
The latest versions of the software are available now and you can find out more on the Ivanti website.
