Microsoft brags Surface in 20 new markets -- fails to say which [Updated]

Microsoft's Surface computers are pretty good machines -- if you like Windows 10, that is. A bit pricey, yes, but overall, they offer a quality experience. True, they are often a bit buggy, but Microsoft is usually pretty good about fixing them with various driver and firmware updates.

Today, Microsoft brags that Surface Pro 6, Surface Laptop 2, and Surface Studio 2 are now available in 20 new markets. Wow! Impressive, right? Actually, who friggin' knows if that is big news or not. You see, the Windows-maker is mum on what the new markets actually are. Maybe the list is a bunch of tiny countries with small populations, so the company is trying to bury that aspect. Who knows why Microsoft does what it does anymore. But yeah, 20 new markets!

"In January, Surface Pro 6, Surface Laptop 2, Surface Studio 2 and Surface Headphones launched across Asia for our customers in China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan. Last week we showed strong momentum for the business when we announced Q2 results. Surface revenue increased 39 percent, with its biggest quarter ever, as our new devices clearly resonated with customers across commercial and consumer segments. And today we’re thrilled to launch Surface Pro 6, Surface Laptop 2 and Surface Studio 2 in over 20 additional markets as well as announce that Surface Headphones will launch in eight new markets next month," says Matt Barlow, Corporate VP, Windows and Devices Group.

So, yeah, in addition to those 20 new mystery markets for Surface Pro 6, Surface Laptop 2, and Surface Studio 2, Microsoft will be bringing its Surface Headphones to eight new markets next month. The company is not secretive about those markets, however -- Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, and Switzerland.

Update: The Verge reports the new markets as follows:

Surface Studio 2: Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Kuwait, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UAE, and UK

Surface Laptop 2: Bahrain, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Kuwait, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and UAE

Surface Pro 6: Bahrain, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Kuwait, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, and UAE
