Details leaked on unannounced Sidekick LX 2009
While it's unofficial, the long rumored but still unannounced Sidekick LX 2009 could well include 3G support, GPS with turn-by-turn instructions, and more, according to a detailed spec sheet that appeared online.
The spec sheet -- spotted and captured by a blog reader when she took a survey on QuizPoints -- also shows that T-Mobile's LX 2009 will come with Microsoft Live Local Search and Maps. An accompanying photo reveals a device with a thin design and a large QWERTY keyboard.
Also according to the specs, the future Sidekick will also feature a large (3.2-inch WVGA) screen with sharp 854-by-480 resolution; 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash, and video recording; and expandable memory up to 8 GB via MicroSD.
For communications, the device will feature Microsoft Outlook/Exchange synchronization and Signature Sidekick IM/SMS/E-mail Experience.
An on-board social networking suite will encompass MySpace with video upload; Twitter; and Facebook. YouTube Mobile Access will be available through a browser. Also, content creation software will include a blog publishing, editing and management client; Photobucket Upload and Management; and a video recorder with upload to MySpace/Photobucket.
The spec sheet, however, says nothing at all about pricing or availability for the Sidekick LX 2009.
