Task management tools tend to be good at collating lots of information, but translating that into action and turning ideas into reality is another matter.

German software company MeisterLabs is launching a new visual task completion tool called MeisterTask to help teams manage projects and bring ideas to life.

Using MeisterTask, employees can organize and manage tasks in a smart, customizable environment, with a seamless workflow that allows for what the company calls "frictionless creativity". It connects into MeisterLabs' existing thought visualization software MindMeister, giving its users the ability to add their brainstorms and visually-created project plans into a MeisterTask workflow and make use of both tools in progressing from brainstorming to execution.

"MeisterTask has everything you need -- and nothing you don't -- to guide you through a productive day," says Till Vollmer, Managing Director of MeisterLabs. "After analyzing feedback from the 3.5 million users and 500 million ideas captured with our initial product, MindMeister, we wanted to focus on moving workers from brainstorm to action in a way that really mapped to the way the brain works. Yes, MeisterTask is a task management tool, but we stand firm in thinking it offers a visual, agile experience for bringing ideas to life that is truly unique in the market".

MeisterTask - Task Management

Users of MeisterTask can create projects, add collaborators, assign tasks, and follow progress on flexible project boards that automatically adapt to the workflow to ensure synchronization. Each task has space for all the information needed to take it to completion. Communication and remote collaboration are made through web- and app-based interfaces, with workers able to discuss details of a task in real-time, upload files, set due dates, and add checklist items. All actions are saved in the task's activity stream for easy traceability, resulting in a novel task management system that removes bottlenecks and brings fun to the process of collaborating and completing projects.

The MeisterTask software is available from today and there's an iOS app to allow it to be used on mobile devices too.
