Thermaltake launches Pacific R1 Plus DDR4 Memory RGB Lighting Kit

RGB lighting makes everything better. Yeah, there are some "haters" out there that decry these lights being added to so many products, but you know what? Those folks are just devoid of joy. As far as I'm concerned, every PC component and accessory should contain them! I mean, look, you can always just turn them off.

Nowadays, even sticks of RAM have RGB lighting. If your existing memory doesn’t have this lighting, it would be foolish to replace them to get it -- that just wouldn’t make financial sense. Thanks to a new product from Thermaltake, however, you can add RGB to your existing sticks of RAM. Called "Pacific R1 Plus," it fits over your existing RAM. How cool is that?

With user-friendly engineered design, R1 can be easily clipped on to the DIMM channel bracket, therefore, users do not need to have all four RAM sticks installed to place R1 and enjoy the RGB effects. It is also compatible with most generations of memory modules on the market, including DDR4, DDR3, and DDR2. The wide range of compatibility benefits most PC DIY users," says Thermaltake.

Built with high quality components and materials guarantee the durability of R1 Plus and the LEDs within, the estimate lifespan of the LEDs is 50,000 hours."

What I love about this product is that you get the look of having four sticks installed without actually having them. For instance, my gaming PC has four slots, but only two sticks of 8GB of RAM. With the Pacific R1 Plus, however, it will give the illusion of having all slots populated -- symmetry for the win!

The Pacific R1 Plus can be bought immediately from Thermaltake here. The cost is a bit high at $59.99, but how can you put a price on having such beauty inside your chassis?
