Samsung's newest PRO Plus memory cards are faster than their predecessors

Today, Samsung has released refreshed memory cards designed for professionals. The faster PRO Plus microSD and SD cards now offer read speeds up to 180MB/s and write speeds up to 130MB/s. These cards offer the ability to capture 4K ultra-high definition (UHD) and Full HD (FHD) videos and photos, making them an ideal choice for content creators and other professionals, such as photographers and videographers.
The new microSD cards are currently available in capacities up to 512GB, while the full-size SD cards are being offered at a maximum capacity of 256GB. Silicon Power USB combo card reader works with both SD and microSD cards

It's 2022 and the world's transition to USB-C should, in theory, be complete by now. The thing is, however, it simply isn't. Despite USB-C being superior to USB-A in every way, consumers haven't been keen on moving to the new connector. As more and more consumers and businesses hold onto older computers (that don't have USB-C) for longer periods of time, USB-A remains the dominant connector.
And so, a new card reader from Silicon Power that uses USB-A rather than USB-C totally makes sense. This new combo card reader from the company is compatible with both SD and microSD cards (not simultaneously), making it incredibly useful. The retractable USB-A connector allows it to be protected when not in use, meaning it should prove a good option for portability. And yes, it has a lanyard loop option.
Lexar launches GOLD Series Professional 1800x UHS-II U3 SDXC storage card

Nowadays, professional photographers with high-end camera equipment are embracing CFexpress storage cards more and more. The problem? Those cards are quite expensive. Not to mention, many photographers can get by fine without using top of the line. And so, for many photographers -- amateur and professional alike -- SD cards remain a great option.
Thankfully, companies are still manufacturing new SD cards, and today, Lexar launches its latest. The GOLD Series Professional 1800x UHS-II U3 SDXC storage card is both fast and durable. Best of all, pricing starts at just $36.99, making it affordable for all consumers.
PNY launches X-PRO 90 UHS-II SD card

A digital camera without a storage card is like a car without gas -- pretty much useless. You need a memory card to store the photos and videos you take, and most cameras don't come with any onboard storage these days.
There are no shortage of SD cards (Amazon is littered with them), but you should always make sure you are purchasing one made by a reputable company. Don't recognize the brand? Don't buy it. You don't want to lose your valuable data when that cheap card dies prematurely.
