Microsoft Patches Office SR-1

Microsoft issued a patch yesterday for Office 2000 SR-1, after a variety of problems cropped up with the release and installation of the service release. Available from WindowsUpdate, this patch resolves several issues with the service release and Windows 2000. Many users were reporting problems with the program crashing shortly after startup. Issues with the new registration system, which added a feature to shutdown Office after a certain number of boots if it remained unregistered, should also be resolved.
